If you are hunting for great property buys, look for Mr Kelvin Neo. A high-flier in the real estate sector, Mr Kelvin.Neo, 40, a division director from ERA Realty Network, has received numerous awards throughout his career. He now heads a division named Olympians, comprising more than 10 real estate agents.

Established in 1982, ERA Realty Network is a real estate agency in Singapore with more than 6,000 agents.

Mr Benjamin Yeng, 60, who is self-employed, is a satisfied client of Mr Neo.

Mr Yeng said: “Kelvin is hardworking, provides excellent service and goes the extra mile.

“For instance, he checks my newly-constructed development for defects and provides feedback to the developers if he finds any. Having a responsible and competent agent saves home buyers legwork and effort.”

Early last month, Mr Neo was prompted from a branch division director to a division director, due to the impressive property sales figures chalked up by his team.

In January, he was placed in fourth position for an award that honours the top 10 division directors of the company. Last month, he clinched the second position for the same award.

At the 2016 ERA Asia Pacific Business Conference held in early February, Mr Neo clinched the 33rd position in the Top 50 Achievers award. This award recognises stellar performances in terms of the amount of commission earned in 2015 by agents and team leaders.

Mr Neo is looking to expand his division and aims to groom potential leaders.

He said: “I am looking out for hidden gems with a passion for the industry. They should be motivated to succeed and looking to build a successful career.”

He mentors his charges by equipping them with both technical and soft skills.

Technical know-how includes having knowledge about market value and transacted properties of the district to provide sound advice to clients.

Soft skills encompass handling rejection and setback, understanding the real concerns clients face, and building rapport with clients.

Mr Neo said: “We are not trying to make a quick sale out of our clients. Integrity and honesty are vital to sustain good relationships with clients in the long run. This is important if one wishes to establish a long-lasting and successful career.”

Moving into his new office premises at Mountbatten Square this month, this driven division director is set to lead his team to achieve greater accomplishments for the rest of the year.

Other than mentoring his team, Mr Neo is also active in marketing new projects.
